
At 4:30, my "friend" from last week showed up and my first thought was, "If you try to give me feedback on my technique, I might give you a piece of my mind today!" I went as far as taking my rest breaks at the opposite end of the pool as him, because I just couldn't handle it. I had a particularly hard week at work and I felt like I was going to have no mercy for anyone who gave me lip. I finished my workout and jumped out of the pool before he could say something. One of my friends who is a swim instructor at the pool walked by and I made a quiet comment to her about the guy in the pool. The lifeguard came over when we stopped talking and asked "Is there a problem?" To which I simply told him that the guy gives unsolicited advise and left it at that. I'm not sure if the lifeguard is friends with Mr. Master Swimmer or what, but I was slightly annoyed the lifeguard even came over to ask what we were talking about.
Agh, whatever.
It's Friday and I am ready for the weekend. Tomorrow is a BRICK workout and I can't wait! The plan is to go to the Neuse River Greenway in Clayton and get in a good workout. The workout for tomorrow must be a cutback because I looked ahead and said, "Only a 40 minute ride and 20 minute run??" Oh well, lets BRICK!
