
The plan today was simply to do 75% of Wednesdays workout. I finished the warmup and drills, which might I add, felt better than they did on Wednesday. I am getting more comfortable with the pull buoy which helps to save my legs from tiring too soon. At first I felt very unbalanced but now I am getting much better. Again, progress!!!
I worked on the kick sets again and sure enough my legs cramped. I just don't get it. For every gain I make, I get a leg cramp. I was advised to try a multivitamin in order to get necessary vitamins that COULD help to reduce cramping. Yea... Doesn't seem to be making a difference. I guess the positive thing that comes from this is that I am filling the gaps anyway.
Another wonderful thing happened today: I met my new bike! Last week I asked a local running group if anyone had a used road bike they were willing to sell. And today I met my new bike! Not wanting to feel pressure, I didn't bring my bike rack so that I wasn't temped to make a decision without thinking. After riding the bike maybe a half mile, I was in love! Well, honestly I fell in love when I saw the pink handlebars! I literally had dreams about this bike before I went to see it on person! Is that weird? No, don't answer that.
Tomorrow morning I am meeting my bike at a trail race in Ayden. Okay, it's weird that im taking a bout this bike like it is a person. Anyway, this is a race that my group 5ks4k9s will be attending with a bunch of shelter dogs. I am excited to be a spectator at this event rather than running with a dog. Tomorrow I have a bike ride planned... Hopefully with my new bike!
