This past week was very successful and has got me set in the right direction. I worked out everyday Monday-Friday and felt it was a pretty solid week. ![]() Monday - Afternoon swim during break at school. Today was a half day for students and then teachers had to return at 3pm for parent teacher conferences. I was able to leave school at 12:30 and head straight to GAFC for a swim. I wish this was something I could do more often because the pool was so quiet! I swam for about 40 minutes and then it was off to the shower and get changed back into work clothes. I still had some extra time so it was off to Starbucks for a latte before heading back to school. I felt refreshed and ready to tackle the rest of the day! ![]() Tuesday - Run Day! Today we did not have school because of Veteran's Day. In the evening I went out for a run. I wasn't sure how far I would go but decided to just run until I felt done. This is typically my style! I ended up running three miles. This is the longest I have run in a while. The weather was beautiful and I was enjoying it while I could because the next day would prove to be brutally cold! ![]() Wednesday - Today was an easy day on the stationary bike. I rode 20 minutes just to loosen up a little bit. Nothing too fancy here. Just keeping up with a workout each day! ![]() Thursday - Run Day! Today I decided that I would run somewhere between 2-3 miles. I ended up running the same course as Tuesday to compare my time. The effort was there but my watch was acting up and not giving credit where credit was due! It had me running slower than Tuesday and also had me running . 2 miles less. Oh well, I know I ran harder and faster! ![]() Friday - Pool swim! Today I was back in the pool. I didn't get there until about 4:30 so I was starting later than I would like to on a Friday. The advantage of Friday evening swims is that most people prefer to take this day off and start the weekend early so for me it means less congestion in the water! Today I swam for 45 minutes. My mainset was a pyramid set 25-50-75-100-75-50-25 with a kickboard. Needless to say my legs were screaming at me. I loved it!! Final workout this week is a stationary bike ride for either Saturday or Sunday. Since today is Sunday, this workout will have to be today! I have volunteer hours to do at the animal shelter today so this will be done later tonight but I promise it will get done!
